Crossroads Worldwide Missions to The Navajo Nation
Trip Description and Dates: April 11-17, 2009
In 2003, Crossroads began working among Native American people in Colorado and Arizona in partnership with Faith Bible Church in Cortez, CO and Native Gospel Outreach. We have sent multiple teams on mission to the Navajo, Hopi, Ute and Mountain Ute tribes. We have worked on reservations and in villages and towns in a variety of roles: door-to-door witnessing, community service projects, evangelistic outreaches and rallies, community meals, arts and crafts for kids, prayer walking, worship services for local reservation churches, and community surveys.
Our trips have been unbelievable! We have seen many Native Americans make professions of faith in Christ. We have been able to assist local churches on the reservations that are often struggling for survival. We have seen first-hand the pride, tradition, and legacy of Native American cultures and at the same time the poverty and struggles that they face daily.
You may also have the opportunity to visit some of America's most beautiful and famous attractions and wonders!
How to get involved
If you would like to go on this trip, read over the information in the packet and application. Pray about the necessary commitment and see if it is something in which you can have a role. If the answer is yes, then complete the application, have a spiritual leader fill out your reference form, and follow the steps outlined in the Navajo Nation packet to be involved. If you are chosen to be a part of the team, we will send you another packet that has information ranging from packing suggestions to ideas for raising funds.
