Clayton King

God saved Clayton King when he was 14 years old, and the same night he was saved he felt God call him into the ministry. He surrendered to that call and since age 14 has preached to almost 2 million people in 23 countries and 45 states. Clayton graduated from of Gardner-Webb University in 1995 with a degree in Religious Studies as the Graduate of the Year and a Presidential Scholar. He, his wife Charie, and their two sons, Jacob and Joseph, live in Boiling Springs, NC.

Clayton speaks to over 200,000 people annually on college campuses for FCA, InterVarsity, BSU, and Campus Crusade for Christ. He also speaks at numerous national youth conferences, camps, and retreats, as well as dozens of youth rallies and churches of different denominations. Audiences of all ages respond to his honest and clear style of sharing the Gospel as well as his down-home personality and quick sense of humor. He speaks on various topics depending on his audience, including: marriage, missions, music, dating, discipleship, motivational talks for non-religious events and public school assemblies. But above all, he is called to preach the gospel and call people to salvation in Christ. He is an evangelist first and has modeled much of his life and ministry after his earthly hero, Billy Graham (whom he was able to spend several hours with in April of 2005!). He travels about 200 days a year preaching and speaking and spends the rest of his time with his family, studying and reading, and thinking about his dream vacation to Alaska that he hopes will come soon!

ENDORSEMENTS

  • Phil Carnucio: Pastor, The Bridge, Downingtown, PA
"The bottom line is this: if you want the adults and students of your ministry to grow spiritually, have a great time in worship, be engaged in awesome activities and be loved by the camp staff, then you have no other option, you have to go to Crossroads. We attended Crossroads Camp the first year it opened and every year after, while I was the youth pastor. I will tell you this: I have no regrets."
  • Angela Candee: Assoc. Director Youth Ministry Group, SCBC
"I have had the pleasure of booking Clayton to speak at several of the SC Baptist Convention's youth events. He has a unique ability to capture his audience with humor and then lead them into a powerful encounter with God. He is extremely effective and clear in his presentation of the gospel and many have been saved as a result of his faithfulness in sharing. His love for students is obvious as he spends time with them after his presentation is over. He is flexible and willing to minister, which is greatly appreciated by those of us who have had experiences with inflexible speakers. I think his heart is as big as the Grand Canyon and his integrity is solid. I wouldn't hesitate to use Clayton again."
  • John Hanna:Western NC Director InterVarsity
"I have seen Clayton King in ministry for over 12 years.  He has been a frequent speaker at InterVarsity Chapter Meetings in North Carolina.  I have also seen the effect of his ministry on college students that have volunteered and served in his ministry organization.  Clayton is an excellent speaker with the gift of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He has a unique way of connecting with college students, and the Lord has consistently used him to help students 'cross the line of faith,' making commitments to follow Jesus.  Over these 12 years, I have seen Clayton grow and mature both personally and as a speaker.  He is very sound theologically and I have never heard him say or do anything inappropriate when speaking at InterVarsity Chapter Meetings. I highly recommend Clayton as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, with a passion for seeing people come to faith in Christ.  He is also very committed to, and involved in, helping people from every tribe, nation and tongue come to know Christ."
