Crossroads Worldwide Missions to Haiti
Trip Description and Dates: June 6-13, 2009
The country of Haiti is only a two hour plane ride from Miami. It is the poorest country in our hemisphere and considered a fifth world country. There is no hope of an agricultural boom in the next ten years. However, there are people who are bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to Haiti. Crossroads Worldwide has the privilege of working with New Missions in Haiti. New Missions has been working in the Leogane Plain of Haiti for the past 22 years. Since its founding they have started over 20 churches and schools ministering to over 6000 children. In June we will lead a group to Haiti to work in local villages and help to upgrade the different parts of the churches and schools. You will also have the chance to sponsor a child and meet his or her family. The trip will truly change your perspective of needs in the world.
How to get involved
If you would like to go on the trip to Haiti, read over the information in the packet and application. Pray about the necessary commitment and see if it is something in which you can have a role. If the answer is yes, then complete the application, have a spiritual leader fill out your reference form, and follow the steps outlined in the Haiti packet to be involved. If you are chosen to be a part of the team, we will send you another packet that has information ranging from packing suggestions to ideas for raising funds.
